Ctrl+Alt+T and open your Terminal:
sudo apt-get install mtpfs

gMTP is a simple MP3 and Media player client for MTP-based device.

sudo apt-get install gmtp

For Linux:
using ctrl + alt + T
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get -y install mtp-tools mtpfs gmtp



For Windows and Mac:
on Windows, and on Mac you can use the Android File Transfer App,

Enable File Transfer between Ubuntu and Android devices.
